A lovely little sketch of Danyl and Merlin being sweet.I couldn't sleep the other night and wanted to doodle, but I was also pinterest scrolling and an image of one of my otp's came up... So this happened. Yay.
For those that get the title quote, you get an alien cookie. If you don't, it's from the X Files and the actual quote is "I do not gaze at Scully!" I chose this title because the reference pic was a Mulder/Scully pic.

At first I thought it was just the angle but after seeing your concepts, I was wondering if they no longer have pupils?

Yeah, the pupil-less thing is something that I've been doing for a little while now, but with me not uploading anything in a while it's not really been an established style evolution. It came from lazy sketching initially, where I would just sorta half finish an image and leave out bits that have always annoyed me, like pupils and hands... And then I decided, 'hey, why bother drawing pupils anyway? The eyes look ok without them... At least you can tell they're eyes.' So no more goofy, black dot pupils for me, though if I ever used colour there would be a 'darker' area to denote pupil area.

TBH now I've started my daily sketches I've realised how much just letting go of 'this must be perfect' can do for your art motivation so though old me would be 'but you'll never learn' I totally get it now.
I really like the idea of the darker areas for the pupil in the coloured images.
