Description Yes this is a really easy tutorial on the easiest way to cut out pictures of people you want from a photo.

I made this tutorial sometime ago but here it is now.

This is very nicely explained.
I normally use this method, but didn't know about the use of the history brush.

You may also want to include a bit about the 'smart highlight' option in the Extract window, which makes it easier to cut out an image from a contrasting background.
(And that in older versions of Photoshop, this tool was under the Image menu. Took me some confusion to find it in Filter once I upgraded.)

That looks very useful, i always did it the conventional way with the poly lasso tool!

i knew this, but thanks for telling me how to fix things. before this i had to erase the brush and fine tune at the erroneuos parts again. but this fixing method is cool

Nice tut, you could add something tho ... befor you use the history brush tool you can simply duplicate the layer(just press command-j (on mac) (pc) controll-j) The act of duplicating the layer will fix about 90% of the dropouts..... now just press command-e (on mac) (PC) control-e to merge these two layers
