He probably wears them for dramatic effect in his demonstrations. Pullover tops and stretch fabric don't convey the effect of inflating as well.

Thanks for the compliment. Still trying to learn to clean up my drawings more - for now, I'm stuck in the world of No.2 pencils and paper. with colored pencils and crayons for color. I'm enjoying getting out ideas that have been running around inside my head for a while, plus adding new ideas provided by others.
