Description I created this version of Sentry based on how I felt he could be depicted through some form of realism based on new Comic live action movies. I am still kind of weary on his Yellow suit design in the rest of the comics due to the fact that its so 90's spandex like. I kind of wish the artist could change it up and update it a bit. Anyways, in that case, I tried to go for something more golden yellow. Not sure if I am 100% satisfied with it, but for the most part I think it turned out ok.

As for the actor Jason Lewis, I don't know, I googled random actors, and he fit the mold I was looking for (6ft mature age, and is in shape). If you have any other actors in mind I'd be down to change things up!

Looking at this image, I may use many of these parts for the Marvel character GLADIATOR!

Big fan of your stuff, can you give me some suggestions on my work? I feel like you'r stuff is very cohesive (each piece works together) and mine is more frankenstein (just stuck together) maybe you can drop some pointers on photoshop tricks to make it all blend?

Indeed, I could use some of the same pointers. Like Tips on how to blend the skin, and change skin complexion and etc...

Honestly looking at your work, I think you are on the right track... Skin change for me is using layers to continuously add different shades. In the case of skin tones, I duplicate layers, and mess around with the Hue/Sat, and Brightness/Contrast. I also use the colorize option. All can be found in Gimp, Photoshop, and Pixelmater. Each part I try to blend, I use the eraser tool (sometimes in conjunction with layer masking) to erase the area for the particular layer I don't want leaving the area I do want. I then play around with the color tools until I get what I am looking for. I do this all why playing with the blending modes. Also the camera raw filter helps a lot. Also a small trick to make your skin and other body parts to appear realistic after using the blur tool or the smudge tool is the noise filter (very little noise).

HUGE TIP!!!!
Take a black and white image from Wikipedia that is super high resolution and do a photo coloring project. I will include a link of mine. You can find a ton of them by Google-ing "historic photos" click images, then click search tools. Under usage and rights, use "labeled for reuse" or "labeled for reuse with modification". Under the image size, just click "large". This will bring up a ton of images that will zoom in really far (the larger the image the easier it is to work with; keep this in mind for any project). Anyways I say do this project/exercise because it will force you to look at skin tone from a different aspect. You won't have other colors to base it off of except what you know about skin tones. It will help you understand how skin tones work. Google "famous black and white photos colorized" and pay attention to how the artist/colorizer did their lights, darks, and color shades. Lastly don't be afraid to mess up and if your project takes 3-4 weeks then put the work in, and don't take shortcuts. Trust me you will get better and faster at the same time.

Hope that helps.
