Across the modern city...Across the streets...
And the cars and the noise...
Lay our great fathers...
Do you think they are watching?
Of what has become of us...?

Great picture! It's like history... You look at yesterday, today & tomorrow at same time with those half made buildings.
And always yesterday looks much more beautiful
Great concept!

i hate cairo's smog,
though in summer it must be the hardest (never been in summer there, but i don't want to neither ). well, it's a different look over the great pyramids, and i think we all need this look sometimes, though it's quite depressing.
i like how it's fading away, and i don't like it. i remember some signs in egypt saying: 'look at the glory of the ancient.' but maybe it's not enough only looking and remembering lost glory. we should take all our efforts to make this time not only an advanced, but a period of new glory, too.
this picture is like monochrome, though no big editing, and in such an ugly tone. great, but sad picture. thanks for that.

I am kinda glad I find people agreeing to what has happened to Cairo, indeed it is pretty sad... and I think the monochrome mood in the pic kinda reflects the sadness mood and feeling...
