I got kicked by a horse yesterday, therefore I drew that picture today....
Watercolor pencils on paper.
I used a stock picture from venomxbaby (made it look a bit older though)

In fact I was busy with a full time job and didn't have energy to paint anything for months. Well, and then recently I lost my job.... and now have time to draw again. Haha ow....

Yeah, it was challenging to blend the yellow and purple, because you can't use proper in-between shades...... so I simply used pink.

Oh no! Hope the horse didn't mess you up too bad. :/ I think it is amazing that you were inspired by that event. That being said, I really like the color choice. The colors add a bit of whimsy to the subject. In my opinion the vibrant, bright colors enhance the natural beauty of the animal. The horse looks like something out of a fantasy novel.
The drawing itself looks great. The details are awesome. I like teh shine on the coat and the hair has alot of detail.
