Fantastic design. Practical, evokes a certain 1930s-40s sensibility, and with a clean crisp style. Certainly the Man of Steel.

Fantastic! I love the colour scheme. the pewtery s and belt are so different but work beautifully with the muted blue. also the "S" colour is classier cooling thanthe garish yellow in the standard costume. just fantastic.

Thank you very much. I actually did try the cape at someone's request. I liked it for a more traditional look. The thought of an optional cape works for me depending on the situation. Here's the link. [link]

great Superman. It may be the hardest character to redesign, but yours is perfect (except for the cape, I can't imagine Superman without cape)

Thanks. I agree about the cape. I originally intended to draw a back view showing a detachable cape. Since it was for P:R though, I had to submit it without a back view to meet the deadline. Ultimately, I opted to go without the cape to make it as different from the original design as possible.
