Looks quite cool. I think the real logo font is Gill Sans, but modified.

According to Wikipedia and Planette Jeunesse, DIC Enterprises' first cartoon ever made was "The Adventures of Energy" released in 1975 and "Cro and Bronto" in 1978 for TF1 and Antenne2, respectively. The latter is unknown if it was made by DIC or not, and the second latter was owned by ABC-Disney. If Cro and Bronto was owned by ABC-DISNEY, then that's great. It's Wikipedia that said it, and it was infamous for spreading false information.

The reason DiC sounds like dic* is because it's the same word. Removing the k doesn't change the pronunciation. Like that SNES & Genesis/Mega Drive game Ballz 3D only changing a letter instead of removing it.
