This looks fantastic! But I think what he should do in this situation is: Tie the cloak and sash together then to his sword, Throw his sword over to that arch, Pray that it gets wrapped around the arch (like Indiana Jones's whip or a batman grappling hook.), and then pull his ass outta there!

Yet another hero (villain possibly?) doomed because of his cape...notice how it's wrapped so pleasantly around his neck for death? And don't even get me started with where that sash will end up...
