This small woodlouse (Crustacea: Isopoda) was found under a dead tree trunk. It seemed to like my finger, since it wouldn't move afterwards, even after I put it near the ground.Related content

Very beautiful close up! I really like crustacea and bugs, about this isopoda , they call it cloporte in french, i caught 2 in my appartment a couple of days ago!!

lol I've seen them all the time and haven't really thought much of them, but this perspective certainly makes them a little more interesting. At first I had no idea what they were but trusty wikipedia cleared that up lol, over here (australia) I've always heard them called slaters, but other names for them from other countries are pretty funny [link]
Did it curl up into a ball at all when you touched it? Its so cool how they can do that.

At first, yes, but after a few seconds, it was up and walking again.
