Time: 16 hours (Not counting research and brainstorming)
NNM vs Diablon with the Shadowbolts fighting the Gunwings in the background.Β
Doing the Diablon mecha was much more challenging than the egg emperor due a lack of proper references detailing its structure and body so I had to make my own reference sheet. The egg emperor was easier since the main body was pretty much a sphere. XD
Challenging but a good learning experience.
In retrospect, I noticed that I tend to do a lot of dark-based picturesβ¦

I loved the Sonic/Diablon battle in StH :3 Was such a cooler boss battle than Doom or Eggman. This is pure, sizzling epicness xD

As you can see, Nightmare Moon is charging up her magic beam attack like she did in the S4 premiere; Diablon on the other hand is charging up the antimatter cannon in a kamehameha/hadoken stance.

Oooh, now this is cool! I love the darkness of the picture as it lends to the gravity of the fight. The Shadowbolts in background, while slightly obscured, Β add to size of the battle.anud give the viewer a sense of something larger happening.
