And yeah - I prefer to think that eventually they realised a better way to distribute Steven's healing spit was to have him slosh a lot of water in his mouth, spit it into a container, and then have Lapis disperse it all as rain over a large area - if mere backwash could heal Connie's eyesight, I don't think it takes massive quantities

I really enjoyed the film, but I did have a few issues with it. Most of them were just minor points (I can easily headcanon where Spinel got the injector and rejuvinator from, so that doesn't bother me), or matters of personal taste - I would have loved to see Stevonnie for instance. Thematically however, I felt that Beach City was repaired just a little too easily and perfectly. I like that the craters are still present in the hill, but I kind of feel that the moral of this story was that 'happily ever after' takes work, and instead of moving backwards the only way forward is to embrace change. With that in mind, I feel it would have been more meaningful if the consequences of Spinel's attack lingered a little, not as open wounds but as visable scars - for example, what if some of the crevices the injector opened in the town remained post-rebuilding as streams/canals connecting both sides of the penninsula, which the buildings and streets have to build around or bridge? Or what if the water tower was knocked down during the fight and rebuilt using bits from the injector - positive message there about rebuilding and taking away the power of the thing that tried to destroy you...
