Hey Arnold! has one of the best Halloween specials in modern-day cartoons and being a relatively new fan of the show, I figured it'd be fitting to do something HA-related for this year's festivities. I mean, Danny Phantom is the obvious choice, but I already do so much of that anyway, so why not something different for a change?

After tossing around several ideas, some of which were more rooted in existing episodes, I settled once again for the tried-and-true formula of characters dressing up in costumes, which then snowballed into the idea you're looking at. The picture is constructed of several elements: Rhonda's obsession with fashion and clothing, Helga disliking her supposedly-perfect big sister and Halloween being all about things that are scary and creepy. There was also an episode about a costume party, so that ties it together nicely. As a cherry on top, I decided to give Rhonda the Wednesday Addams outfit from the early '90s feature films, because it's part of my childhood.

I worked on this pic slowly during a two-week period in September when I was recovering from a cold, so what you see here is a pic that's over a month long. After this, I'll be going quiet on dA for a while as I resume my existing pay site commission project.

The archive contains the working resolution file, a 50% resize and a 25% resize, the latter being most suitable for blogs and image boards.
