Это конечно да. Только в бумаге волокна не направлены обычно. А у дерева есть направления. У коры напротив поры, грязь, сколы. К тому же свежее дерево влажное (свет проникает глубже, меньше бликует).

Я вполне принимаю это за авторский ход, графика становится игрушечной.

Но в «старую кору» уже не верится.
