Design comps for my first tattoo, done ~2001. I ended up choosing the upper right one, sticking with the full-tribal look (the other versions are a lot more graphic design/logo-esque, I realized, and a lot harder to do). My nickname has always revolved around quadruped animals - first, a wolf, and later, a lynx... so I wanted my first mark to be a self-identifier. So yes, my tramp stamp's a pawprint I've also been very drawn to Celtic knotwork all my adult life, so there you go - I'm a knotwork fiend.

Any further tats will also probably similarly lineart/tribal/knotwork-based. I'd like to do at least three more, but easily covered placement is getting harder (especially considering I'd prefer to be able to see a couple of them)!
