Description
This is a character I call Trinity, though I'm not sure what her true name is. She is a background character in the "Monster High" Webisodes. She was originally a Lagoona Blue doll. I re-rooted her using saran hair purchased from dollyhair.com and completely repainted her face with acrylics.Related content

I was wondering what length/amount of hair do you usually buy for rerooting because I am customizing a doll and I want to use Saran hair from dollyhair.com and I'm not sire what to purchase

I usually purchase one Barbie sized and one "My Little Pony" sized hank for each MH doll I root. (I cut the MLP hank in half so it's not so long.) The length depends on how long you would like the hair to be; "Long Length" reaches their ankles, "Medium Length" is right below their waist, and "Short Length" is right above their chest

I've been bitten by the customizing bug and wanted to make one out of a Lagoona doll, but I'm worried about her fins and webbed hands....could you tell me what kind of texture they have and if it would be possible to try and carve it out from between her fingers....or if I should just use a different doll. It's a beautiful custom and so like the character.

I think it would be easy to cut off the arm-fins and webs with an X-acto knife, it might not look very neat though. Lagoona's arms and hands are made of clear plastic painted light blue, so you would need to repaint them. It might just be easier to buy replacement arms/hands for another doll and paint them to match Lagoona's skin tone: [link]
