FW Godzilla is my favorite out of all the incarnations (minus the Monsterverseversion) simply because his design was sleek and looked more agile then past designs while still being large and imposing. And his move against the meteorite... definitely worthy for the Top 10 Most Badass Godzilla moments in my book

With how fast the action advanced, and how only the final boss could give him a challenge... yeah, he was the most OP Godzilla to ever appear in a movie.

To be fair, most of the time he fights an opponent he's beaten before, they don't do so well against him the second time.  Kind of like Badass Decay, and some Godzilla foes get hit with it harder than others (like King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla).

Think about it for a moment: the original King Ghidorah took Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan simply to drive him off planet.  The second time the three-headed dragon fought Godzilla, it only took Godzilla and Rodan (he got better in Destroy All Monsters, but then went right back to losing when Showa Godzilla tag teamed with another monster).  By the Heisei era Godzilla's been able to hold his own against King Ghidorah one on one.  Mechagodzilla went from needing Godzilla to team up with a new monster to losing to him or tying with him one on one.

I'm probably generalizing things a bit, but it has happened enough to notice.

Indeed. And even then, Godzilla does always win.
