I made this little pic to answer a fan's question of what's Launchpad doing in the continuity of Darkwing Duckette and decided to also answer questions people might have about Morgana or Scrooge McDuck. Here are some brief bios:Launchpad: After moving back to Duckburg, Launchpad worked once more Scrooge McDuck and also took some classes at the local community college. He later got his teaching license and has since been working as a flight instructor at the High Flyer's Flight School. Due to lots of property damage and lawsuits, Launchpad has been restricted to only teaching students in flight simulators rather than actual planes.
Morgana: When moving to Duckburg, Morgana opened up an occult book and novelty store, selling occult books to average citizen and spell ingredients to the real magic users. Morgana is still working and owning her bookstore and has been approached by some investors interested in turning it into a franchise.
Scrooge: Due to health concerns, Scrooge gave his company to his nephews while still acting as an advisor and of course the benefactor of the funds. However he generally spends most of his days enjoying his famous three acres of cash in his money bin.
It was interesting trying to decide how to give these character age and make them look different. Apart from a different hairdo, I didn't change Morgana's design since she is descended from Monsters so she may not age like most. Scrooge was difficult to make him look older and finally added some obvious forehead wrinkles, gave him some crow's feet, and made the feathers on the side of his head more bushy.

Actually this is based upon my fan fiction Darkwing Duckette, where Darkwing and Morgana did get married and had a child together. However, after Gosalyn's Twelfth Birthday, Darkwing was killed by Negaduck as he tried to save Gosalyn's life. After Darkwing's Death, Gosalyn, Morgana, and Launchpad left St. Canard and eventually moved back to Duckburg. About 20 decades later, Gosalyn came back as Darkwing Duckette and works at McDuck Enterprises as part of Research and Development of certain new forms of tech. In the story, Honker's an employee at McDuck enterprises in Some Division(I forget which) and Webby's working as a designer in McDuck's Fashion Branch.

Whatever happend to Donald Duck, Mrs. Beakley, Bubba, and Duckworth?

Mrs. Beakley and Duckworth are still working for Scrooge as members of his senior staff at his home. More of them were necessary given that Scrooge has gotten older and required more attention with increasing medical problems. Duckworth overseeing two or three more butlers and Beakley being in charge of a few maids and a nurse who monitors Scrooge's health.
I drew a pic concept for Bubba which I may have as canon, where he decided to become a rock star.
With Donald, I never really gave much thought to him. I imagine he eventually resigned as a full-time naval officer, joined the reserve, and settled down with a civilian job. Maybe even having it were he did get a job as a camera man like in Quack Pack.

One more question.
What happend to Scrooge's rival, Flintheart Glomgold?
Is he still trying to prove to be the richiest duck in the world, or did he gave his company to a relative of his?
In my opinion, I say he was hoping for someone to take over his company and try to accomplish his goal in being richer than Scrooge...Buuuutttttt the relative has other plans: He or she plans to use Flintheart's money to rule the world, like Lex Luthor.

From what I figured so far for Glomgold, was that he also went into a semi-retired state much like Scrooge and handed leadership of his company to a relative or apprentice he managed to find in the intervening time between the Prologue and the Present of Darkwing Duckette.
I did have a few ideas for tying up stuff related to Scrooge McDuck in a chapter much down the road which would involve Glomgold. In particular I had an idea for a chapter called "The Last Adventure of Scrooge McDuck" which would see Scrooge and Glomgold competing once again as adventurers/treasure hunters, and Scrooge possibly dying during the adventure to give him a heroic or poetic send off. Glomgold would likely meet his end but it would be like ironic punishment/comeuppance for him.
I haven't fleshed out much related to the remaining members of Scrooge's Rivals and Enemies apart from the Beagle Boys have kids of their own and ending in jail while their kids cause trouble.

I'm not sure If any of them will be appearing in a chapter or two but we may. Thanks, Morgana's design really works for me as she is relatively the same save for a few minor nuances.

kinda feel sorry for scrooge. still, age'll do that to a guy. Morgana looks like sarah palin only alot better looking and ALLOT smarter. and well, at least we know that good ol' Launchpad is as clumsy as ever. ^^

For Scrooge, I am playing with the idea for a chapter called the Last Adventure of Scrooge McDuck in which Scrooge would have one last adventure with the boys, Launchpad, and Gosalyn and most likely die at the end of it but I'm not sure If I want to go that route and I worry that some people will murder me for something like that. I didn't want to change Morgana too much but wanted to make her slightly different and give her a very bookish look. Yeah, I couldn't resist that bio on LP and it's perfect for him.

hmm, i think you should go through with it. sure it's dramatic, but it has the potential to do what comeback movies like Rocky Balboa and Crystal Skull didn't, and thats dampen a few eyes by killing off a main character.

...that, or make it look like he died for a few pages, then right where on what for a comic would be the last panel of the last page, have a shot of Scrooge in a full body cast complaining about something inane, such as his beak itching or a news program erroneously proclaiming his death.
Also, such an event should have lasting implications for the core series. Either having it all be a flashback as to WHY ol' Scrooge retired, or make it so he REALLY needs that cane to get around now. ...except for swimming. Be it in water or money, his swimming skills should remain intact. "Like a McDuck takes to Water" would be a nice pun to use.
...and since this IS a Ducktails "Where are they now" image, I have to ask: Any plans for Magica DeSpell? Even of she HAS given up her criminal ways, her brother is still stuck as a non-anthropomorphic raven. Perhaps having the pair make one last grab for Scrooge's #1 Dime, before Allen offers to help them with their problem?

I'm playing with a few ideas, I haven't decided yet.
As for the fact that this is a where are they now sort of dealie, this was meant to focus on the members of the first generation of Darkwing Duck and Duck Tales stories.
I have no idea what I'm going to do with Magica or if she'll appear at all in the series. I'm only going to do so many callbacks to canon villains, I don't want to over saturate the story with them.
