DP has iconic characters and designs I love and remember, especially Sam Manson's🦇💜 A few days ago I did a redesign and I just wanna discuss the changes I made for my take and why. Just to be clear I'm not trying to diss the OG design, I just want to explain my design choices:

Gave her pigtails instead of the one. I remember when Jack was arguing with her folks, he called her "your spooky ooky bat daughter", and I totally see her love bats so I see her like that sorta look, the pigtails like bat ears or wings🦇. Plus I think it looks cute. Also changed the bangs, kept the pigtails attached and replaced the silver sheen with a purple one💜 I like when characters have a color sheen ex Julie Kane, Motorcity. I think it looks cool.

Wanted to go for a more vintage gothic aesthetic for her fashion. Also wanted to give off the vibe of her being sorta like an explorer/adventurer. An adventure into the world of ghosts and horror.☠️

Gave her eye makeup as well as darker lipstick. Also gave her blach nail polish with purple sheen🖤💜

Went for darker purples as well as used a purplish grey.

Made her eyes grayish purple(added a bit more purple via marker opacity tool)💜

Added more green. I always wished they could've incorporated the green more in her designs💚

Removed the midriff. Nothing against midriffs, I just wanted to change it.

OG palette-Black, grey, purple, dark purple(lipstick), skin color and light green.
My palette-Black, purple, dark purple, green, dark green, purplish gray and skin color.

Gave her a black blouse and skirt. I wanted to go for Addams Family Wednesday vibes, as for the skirt I'm thinking maybe an old uniform skirt or something her grandma or mom wore she ripped a bit for aesthetic reasons. Perhaps the blouse was also a part of the uniform she changed black like that dress in that Freakshow episode. I remember @tachvintlogic pointed that out.

Made her purple tights purplish grey with some rips as well as dark purple socks over then. I also added purple for the boots, making them lace boots. Perhaps something from her grandma she used to wear.

Made the choker bigger as well as added a purple sheen and cute green jewel for more green and the goth aesthetic.

Wanted to make her body look stronger, have more muscle💪

Gave her a trenchcoat. I've seen her in jackets and trenchcoats and I think they look really good on her. I'm thinking also something her grandma used to wear in he younger days.

Replaced the bracelets with fingerless gloves.

Gave her a beauty mark on her lip. I've seen others gives her moles and I think it looks good. Plus I read a mole above the lip indicates a warm person who's generally good to all.
