Between Memory and Dreams is about the time between being awake and asleep where dreams become reality and reality seeps into dreams. This nuance only exists in our minds; it is the intangible whisper of memory patterns and overwhelming emotion. It also hints at the way memory itself works and the subtlety of waves of nostalgia hitting us. In that moment we are unsure if what we are remembering happened or if we had dreamt it. This piece is also about grief, how it lingers as memories do, and how it often times shows up in our dreams. This grief does not have to be sorrowful, but can be transformed into something untroubled as the illusion of time goes by and we are left with only our memories.
