Description
Really, there is tonns of people who like own art and always starts whining when someone tryes to critique them)Personally, I HATE when they write in artist's comments/journals how they luufffff their drawings, their epic styles, etc.
Just, do you think you don't need to improve? Or, even you have over 9000 watchers (only because you can draw only wolves in cartoonic style, for example), and they fapping on you, some such people continue to draw what they drew. And call themselves "artist".
Heh, I can't find so much ARTISTS on this site. Artist doesn't draw only one thing, artist always tryes to overdo themself in new ART.
IMHO - And to be a "person who likes draw" and be an "artist" are different things for me. I can call ARTIST only those people who draw better than me, to have a goal to improve too.
Haha, just as you like to call people hypocrite if you don't like the opinion, I must tell you, i'm from the first category too ^^
About having a free opinion, people, you make me laugh. You don't like when someone hates anything. BUT isn't it an opinion too? If you have a right to support something, why anothers can't have a right to hate it? Then you break own imagination of free opinions~~~

I guess I dunno if I "just like to draw" or if I should imporve myself, but well, sometimes you start at "like to draw" and the become "artist" it just take much time and practice

I try to improve, if that's anything ._.
I look at my art then go "bah, I gotta try harder" too much, often to the point where I pity myself for being my age while this person this age does better and says how good they are.
Those kinds of people put me off doing art, making me believe I'm not suited to be an artist. I don't want to be put off the only thing I feel I'm good at.

I agree somewhat ^^ A "person who likes to draw" and an "artist" are two different things =3 though I think its important to like what you do, so and artist must like to draw, paint, scalpt, ect. I alwasy think liking your own work is important too, but don't over do it. Like I'll say I love my art, and I do =3 I enjoy making peices that I enjoy and can be proud of, so yes I can and will say I absolutly love this piece or such. And maybe I am fapping on myself. But I do believe I can improve, a matter a fact I CAN improve, and I will continue to improve.
You are right in the sense that a person who only draws one thing is not much of an artist, but never the less they are an artist. I believe that they could be a BETTER artist if they tried drawing other things, and try to improve. =3 I know I try to draw more than one thing and always improve.
I think it just comes down to how you as a person veiw, and what's your opion, on the matter.

u are totally right on this. isnt it a good thing when people tell u wat u need to improve on? if u want to be an artist, then u should embrace other's bad criteques and use them to ur advantage because it will help u learn and get better. and ur right on drawing other things too, if u only draw one thing, ur not really calling urself an artist, i personally think people draw wolves a little too much. y not draw things not seen everyday, like maybe a fntasy creature or two, just expand wat u do and do not focus all ur talent on one thing, it becomes a waste of ur talent. also people wont hire u if u want to be an artist because u can only draw one thing, expand ur creativity and learn.

Well, about that opinion thing, I don't mind when someone hates something that I like. I still have respect for them. I just don't see a need in making hate clubs, stamps, ect. about it. It just seems unessecary to me. I'm the type of person that likes to keep most stuff to myself. And if I'm having a conversation about something with someone, and I don't like the subject, then I'll just tell them in a nice way that I don't really like the subject we are talking about. I'm not going to rant about it, or where it out on my sleeve.
Also, so far. I haven't come across anyone that wrote in their artist comments that they're totally in love with their art work, and stuff. And , you know, some people just don't want critiques for plenty of reasons.
I myself try to improve. And I'm kinda happy with how far I've gotten, at least. I've ben drawing since I was around 6 or so, and I kept improving and drawing everyday, a lot of shows inspired me to draw. But, what really inspired me to draw was my love of animals. I can't draw humans, but I'm praticing, I kinda spend more time improving in drawing animals, their anatomy and what not. What really gives me motivation, is seeing artists that have been also improving in their artwork and I can tell by their gallery.
Wow, sorry for all those words.

Lol, I thought that no artist is fully satisfied with their work and wants to improve, but I see that I was wrong ^^'
About the criticism... well, not everyone wants it: I remember certain deviant's journal where they said that when they uploads something then they already see flaws in it and doesn't want it to be criticized.
Great stamp, btw.

Well there's a simple word for people who think their own art is the best in the world, An Egotistic. eh I guess you can add "al bastard" *shrugs*
What you will find on this site is people see "OMG wolves everywhere must draw to get popular " so they draw them over and over and over, its not that they want to be an artist, they just want popularity
I mean I won't lie, I only really draw people at the moment. I draw them over and over, but only because I want to improve as an artist. Not for popularity, popularity can kiss my ass for all I care, sure responses to my art are appreciated, but I only really care for critiques :/
And having an opinion is a hard thing to really explain. Everyone has one, they all differ. Its like in Anime, you get idiots moaning about how cute a CARTOON CHARACTER is then they go mad when the character gets a girlfriend/boyfriend =.=
In their opinion the best person for a character to be with is there crappy mary sue OC's who can destroy the Kyubi, or defeat Madara, or better yet have NO ties with the Uchiha yet magically have Mangekyou Sharingan =.=' yeah I think you get my point. But everyone thinks only their opinion matters. Which I think they need a good slap round the face with a fish to bring them back to reality
DA is a crazy place...sorry for the essay.
