what program/brush setting do you use to paint like this? it comes out so contrast-y and aesthetically pleasing.

Cs honestly isn't that much different from past versions of photoshop. Generally the only thing adobe changes/updates with every upgrade is the workspace with the occasional new function like 3-D layers and shit.
I'm working with CS4 now, but it's nearly exactly the same as CS2. It's almost all workspace changes.

i lied, i do have cs2 the only problem lies within the fact i have no pressure sensitivity. i'm positive it has nothing to do with the driver as they're all updated and whenever i set it to recognize it, it doesn't. i think that is the reason as to why i've neglected it.
