Description
Sarah Essen was a detective in the Gotham City Police Department who was partnered with James Gordon early on in his career, where the two began an affair with each other. Essen would later on become Gordon's second wife and would serve faithfully in the GCPD until her murder at the hands of the Joker.

Reason for Casting: I've once again been going on one of my Breaking Bad kicks, and was inspired by how back in the 2010s, almost every pick for James Gordon was Bryan Cranston. So I thought it would be funny bit of casting (like how I saw somebody suggest Kristen Stewart play Kate Kane opposite Robert Pattinson's Batman). But in all seriousness, Anna Gunn is a fantastic actress who got overshadowed by the likes of some amazing, career defining performances on Breaking Bad (alongside a lot of vitriolic hate for her character Skyler). But she was fantastic as Skyler, and I'd actually think she'd work well as Sarah Essen, either incorporated into the Reevesverse or the new DC Film Universe.
