How do you get shots like this at night? I am just starting out and don't really know. With the flash, it just ruins the ambiance of the whole thing...but without it, the shutter speed is always really slow. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Gotta go with the slow shutter! It's unfortunate at times, but more or less the only way to do it. Use a tripod if you can or set the camera down, just don't shoot the long shutters hand-held. Then Photoshop can help a bit after that. By the way, are you Echelon I may know?

Haha thats a cool shot, when i first saw this i thought "Wow that must be just down the road!" but then i saw it was in maine, and im in cape cod haha. Great idea and i love the shadows
