My first, feeble attempt at imaging the Red Planet.Done with my C-9.25, and my A6000 at prime focus.

A c9.25 is capable of at least 5x more detail than this.
I'd invest in a good barlow, an ADC and a good planetary camera if I were you, something like the ASI120MC-S (color) , or maybe an even better one. (120mc-s is the one I have, but there are betters, if I recall correctly, ASI224MC is a better one)
Given I made this with a mere 6 inch scope, with Mars at only 12 degrees above the horizon, from underneath a street lamp, you can get so much more from a scope like yours.
I also wouldn't ask for a critique on a picture like this. Photographing the planets does not have originality, or vision involved. Leaving only technique and impact, and if your picture is pixelated, dark, and suffering from chromatic aberrations, that leaves you with pretty much the only fair rating of half a star, but giving that is just mean.

There are no computers on my telescope.
I find object using old fashioned setting circles. I am almost as fast as the GoTo guys, without all the noise.
This camera requires a windows laptop.
When I finally purchase a laptop, it will be a Mac Flavor.
The A6000 is my sole imaging device.

I don't use goto either.
I find my objects usually in about 2 minutes, unless they're really faint, like Uranus or Neptune. Then I'll be searching for longer.
I do use automatic tracking though, so once I have it in view, it won't leave my view anymore.
Well first of, buying a mac is sort of a waste of money, given they're far more expansive for the same performance, especially this year's model.
But that aside, these cameras do work on macs.

Buying a PC is not going to happen. I don't consider my Mac a waste of money either.
I think I will continue to use my A6000, since I am not planning on becoming a "Laptop Astronomer."
I must be the one guy at the star party not sitting in a tent, RV, or other shelter doing everything from the computer.
I know someone who has a dome and scope, that he operates from the internet hundreds of miles from his home.
It seems the fun would be lost, at least to me, doing this kind of thing.
I am assembling a device to get a better image. Let me see what my time looks like tomorrow.

A laptop =/= an rv + stardome + all that stuff you mentioned.
I don't even have a car, or driver's licence. I live in the middle of a city, and carry all my gear, including laptop, by hand to a small field in a park nearby.
Whether you stand there with a fiddling with a small camera that's not made for astronomy, or stand there holding a laptop in one arm connected to a specialized camera inserted directly into the tube, your experience isn't gonna be very different, your results however will be.
You can still look swing the thing around manually, look through your finderscope to find targets, talk to passerbys who are wondering what on earth you're doing. The only difference is that afterwards you're left with great footage.
Since you're saying you're working on some device that will improve your quality, it seems clear to me that you would like to get the best quality you can, and using a laptop + planetary camera is the way to do that, so why not?

I need to learn how to use the projection system and get better magnification.
Prime focus is adequate for most deep sky images. Planets need some extra size.
