On that topic, I haven't watched the FUNimation dub yet, but my favourite character dub I've heard so far is the one 4kids did with Shanks. Goddamn, he sounds so Irish. And that's awesome. I mean, they probably just did it for the sake of stereotyping (Shanks has red hair and a bit of a beard, and drinks a lot... Not that they would mention that last part), but whether it was accident or not, that's one of the very few thnigs 4kids did right.
I still think of Shanks' awesome Irish dub whenever I watch One Piece.
