Description
Atlantica is such a beautiful kingdom. Seeing it in the movies is one thing. Actually being there is another. I frequently visit this kingdom when I used the Zora Armor, until last year when King Triton allowed me to become a merman at will. I still visit the place often, but now I blend in! And it’s great being able to remain there indefinitely rather than up to three days. Best part is I can visit my Birthstone Mermaids in the neighboring kingdom!

Atlantica has its fair share of treasures. The natives often collect what the humans drop, though the king usually banishes the item because he thinks humans are dangerous. He’s still miffed at the pirates who claimed his wife Athena I would assume. I however, am proof that not all humans are evil. That goes equal to Triton’s son-in-law, as well as his granddaughter!

But without a doubt, the greatest treasure in Atlantica is not gold, nor is it the palace itself. It is King Triton’s youngest daughter. I first met her when I was six years old, after a chance encounter in a movie theater on November 17, 1989. Even today, twenty years later, I still recall that timeless encounter, and I have loved her, all the mermaids, and the ocean ever since. She’s the reason I often visit Atlantica, and why Under the Sea and Part of Your World are among my favorite Disney songs.

They call her Ariel.

The beautiful mermaid is modeled after the equally beautiful Christine , after she had put her face on various Ariel models on faceinthehole.com. If you saw her in person, you too would think Ariel stood before you in the flesh. She has all the qualities of a mermaid: Long hair, beautiful smile, slender figure, love for swimming, and a divine voice (though I haven’t heard it, she says she enjoys singing, so one can assume she has a mermaid’s voice). I swear she's Ariel in the flesh!

Christine is also among my favorite artists on DA. One look at her gallery and I just knew I had to watch her! She is so amazing at what she does, and her pictures could easily pass off as grayscale screenshot images. She is such a talented woman, and such a generous soul. It makes me so happy knowing that she has a heart of purest gold, and a Christian one at that! She is also a fan of my artwork, which she often places in her “Art I Love” folder. That flatters me. She even has a habit of calling me “angelfish,” and I in turn call her “my princess.” I have a feeling if we met in person, we’d call each other by those names.

Christine does make an absolutely wonderful Ariel. Disneyland would have to be crazy turning her down for the role in any of the parks! King Triton and I would rain fire upon them!
