She is the main antagonist of the popular web series RWBY, and the first of many fanarts for this series I'm making. Though she hasn’t appeared very often, she has quickly proven to become quite a popular character. She’s beautiful (and how!), cunning, and evil, which make deadly combinations. Her signature red dress has fire Dust woven into it, which is the source of her fire based abilities. She’s definitely hot in more ways than one!

Her name comes from Cinderella (which used to be her name, though it was pronounced differently), with the ‘cinder’ part coming from her fire based powers. Like her namesake, she wears glass stilettos that make a distinct clicking sound on hard surfaces. They’re also five inch heels, which makes her look way over six feet tall, even though her actual height is 5’11”. The camera loves showing off Cinder’s long beautiful legs in many of her scenes, much to my delight. Cinder does have the best legs in the entire series! They go on for miles! She should totally be a supermodel once the series concludes. She could even do her own pyrotechnics if she wanted to. She seems to have a thing for shoes, because tattooed on her back is a symbol that looks a lot like two slippers joined together at the heels and toes.

She is voiced by Jessica Nigri. Yes, cosplayers, that Jessica Nigri. Personality-wise, they are complete opposites. Jessica would make you laugh and cheer you up in any of her cosplays, or even in her street clothes. Cinder would bash your head into the wall, light you on fire, or kick you with her five inch glass heels. If you’re unlucky or if you’re really pissed her off, she’d probably do all those in that order too, or worse all at once. If I ever met Jessica, I’d get her to sign this. I’m also hoping one day she cosplays as her!

There are two rules one must follow if you’re planning on having a female villain in your story. Rule number 1: She must be sexy. Put her in an outfit that shows off a lot of skin, or show off those magnificent curves. Add some high heels and a short skirt to show off her long legs, and give her revealing clothing. Rule number two: If she is in a live action movie/TV show, cast a gorgeous woman to portray her (I’d supply a list, but we’d be here all day). Got her in an animated series? Give her a seductive sounding voice. After all, evil is sexy. Does Cinder Fall abide by these rules?

Absolutely!

I used a beautiful Cinder cosplayer for this (forgot who it was, unfortunately), with a little help from Taylor Swift from when I used her to help make Sailor Milotic. I had to redo her legs probably three times. I wanted them to be perfect and long, just like they are in the show. Her shoes gave me no trouble, and surprisingly, neither did her hands *gasp*. I used the darkest shade of red I had for her dress, which the scanner brightened up a bit. See those yellow markings on her dress? That’s the fire Dust woven in it, and that gave me the most trouble. It is so elaborate, I had to watch the series again and get a screenshot of Cinder in the pose I had, or something close, and try to match every swirl on her dress. This took a long time, almost with surgical precision. When I colored it, I used a yellow marker instead of colored pencils, so it would look more solid. If I draw her again, I’m not sure if I want to add the fire Dust, but I definitely want to draw her facing the other way, so you can see more of her design.
