Description
The eighth of the Birthstone Mermaids makes her return appearance, showing off her perfect looks for all the world to see like she always does. She looks good in anything, and won't hesitate to show off her latest outfit. As such, her sisters refer to her as the model. She also represents my birthstone, and we share a birthday. To mark this special occasion, she changed her hairstyle, added some eye shadow, and got a new top.

August doesn't have any holidays in it whatsoever (apparently my birthday doesn't count outside my house), so trying to side how to present her was a challenge. I remember finding a picture of Tyra Banks somewhere, knew she was a model, and decided to make Peridot one.

Peridots are available in various shades of olive green (though it looks apple green to me). It ranks 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale of hardness, and is the official birstone of August, alongside sardonyx.
