This is Mewtwo, one of the most powerful Pokemon in the franchise, and the definitive game breaker for all of the Gen 1 games. It’s a pure Psychic type with a base stat total of 680 (very awesome), and is one of the most popular Pokemon in the series. It was created from Mew’s DNA, and modified to be the strongest of all. Seems that idea worked a little too well. It escaped from Cinnabar Island, destroyed the mansion where it was created, and flew to the Cerulean Cave. It awaits a champion to train it properly.

Anyone who has ever played the first generation Pokemon games, or their remakes, knows of the powerhouse who awaits their arrival at the very bottom of Cerulean Cave after entering the Hall of Fame. We’ve saved the only Master Ball we got earlier in the game just for this encounter. And we know as soon as we catch it, we will CRUSH the competition with an iron grip (especially in Gen 1, with the Psychic types being unstoppable). While its strength has diminished since its introduction, like the Special stat splitting and two extra types to counter the Psychic types, Mewtwo still poses a serious threat in competitive circles.

Anyone who has battled with or against one knows how badass Mewtwo is. To quote TV Tropes: “The only Pokémon stronger than it in terms of base stats are Arceus and Black/White Kyurem, and it's equal in stats to [the Creation Trio]. And to prove stats aren't everything, Mewtwo may still be able to take them on depending on its moveset, as it has a very wide pool of attacks. The short of it, even five Generations and 15 years into the series, it is still one of the strongest Pokémon in the entire series, out of 648 competitors.” Even Smogon says that “Mewtwo has the stats and movepool to do virtually anything it wants. With viable sets that range from a fearsome sweeper to a frustrating staller, its versatility ensures that there is absolutely nothing that can counter it.”

I simply had to make a Sailor of one of the most powerful Pokemon in the series, and I decided the perfect weapon to give it. I dove into Star Ocean 2’s massive weapon list and dug up the Million Staff. This weapon will be on every magician’s Christmas list this year. It raises your Intellect (which fuels your magic power) by a monstrous 800 points! How powerful could Mewtwo become if it got hold a weapon like this? Well, if its Special Attack EVs and IV are perfect (252 and 31 respectively), and had a beneficial nature (like Modest), its Special Attack peaks at 447. Give it the Million Staff, and that value jumps to 1247, assuming you can break 999! Immunity is your only hope, but only briefly. You’d feel that even if you were quad-resistant to the attack. In addition to the huge magic buff, it also converts some of the damage the user takes to restore MP.

Sailor Mewtwo bears her Pokemon counterpart’s colors, with some more pink thrown in to match the Psychic type. I gave her a cape so she could look more like a sorceress. This way, you could tell just by looking at her she’s good with magic. And I wanted to make sure she has the same icy stare that Mewtwo has that can curdle milk. This is the face of death. This is also why I gave her Sailor Saturn's hairstyle. I also debated having Sailor Mewtwo hold the Million staff with telekinesis, but that was scrapped. She did however, bring the staff to her hands with it. Her earrings, and the orb holding her bow was designed after the Psychic energy card from the card game.

By the way, this marks my 500th deviation!

Aura Sphere: Sailor Mewtwo throws a projectile that never misses its mark.

Dark Pulse: Sailor Mewtwo unleashes a shadowy aura around her. This attack may stun anyone caught in the blast.
