Zelda had gotten a letter in the mail today. It said that Link was coming to the Castle Town at noon, where he was going to take her to a romantic getaway in the mountains. He would be arriving in a horse-drawn carriage. The letter also instructed Zelda to meet him at the fountain in the center of town. Excited, Zelda put on her best outfit and made her way to the town. She sat down on the fountain and waited patiently for her hero to arrive. Ganon had been destroyed, and peace was restored in Hyrule. It was the perfect time for Link and Zelda to go on a date!

If you thought that really was Zelda in the flesh, you’re mistaken. That is really (JoEllen) in her amazing Zelda cosplay, this one from Twilight Princess. She looks just like her! It makes me wonder if she modeled for Zelda during the game’s development. If they decide to make a movie of it, I nominate her as Zelda (with as Midna no less). She is a costume designer, and the detail she puts in all of her costumes will take your breath away, whether she’s making a cosplay or just a generic costume. I wonder if it’s her talent or the Triforce of Wisdom at work…

Zelda is my favorite Nintendo princess. She’s far prettier than Princess Peach, and she’s a better fighter in the Smash Bros. series. Her theme song, Zelda’s Lullaby, is such a beautiful song, especially in Ocarina of Time. Though this song originated in A Link to the Past (heard when you save Zelda at the beginning; a shorter version plays when you save the maidens later on), it sounds ten times better with the N64’s more powerful hardware. I’d visit her everyday if it meant hearing her song. It’s the first song you learn on the ocarina, and it’s used the most (with the exceptions of the teleportation songs). It makes pathways open at certain points, usually represented by the “Crest of the Royal Family.”

The background was difficult to find, but I found one with a building that kinda looks like the Temple of Time. There were no towns that even resembled Hyrule Castle Town in the slightest. You have no idea how much that annoyed me. Screenshots would’ve been a bad idea because for some weird reason Link cannot enter first-person mode in town. The camera would not have given me the shot I was looking for. Oh well! When I saw this picture, it did make me think Zelda’s waiting for someone special to take her someplace romantic. That’s where I got the idea that Zelda is waiting for Link, which is where the title came from.
