Description
Who will win?Top tier candidate:
Jim: In a stunning turnaround from previous seasons, the character I was rooting for has actually made it to the end with a good chance to win. Jim has defeated Luna's prophecy of an Orwell-Tapioca final 2, he has overcome a never-ending series of people coming after him, he has survived playing with the worst ally in Survivor history, and he deserves the win now.
Reasons I thought Jim would win over Orwell (even if I distrusted myself), preserved for posterity:
Jim's in the season preview, Orwell is not.
Orwell was called a massive threat to win the game in the cast preview (even if only on paper). SFC Jeff doesn't normally tip his hand like that.
Jim's spot in the cast preview was all about whether or not he could play his own game; he's had to fall into a second banana role behind first Roth (Batman and Robin) and then Orwell (who approached him first after Sasha's departure). This means heΒ still has story threads to wrap up, whereas Orwell's personal journey is complete.
Orwell facial expression screamed "cocky" in the last couple of episodes; the last time we saw him look like that was before Rudy was voted off. This time he may not be so lucky to escape unscathed.
There have been a couple of times when the major villain throws a vote at the eventual winner on their way out (Vinnie votes for Bitsy, Enter votes for Lola). Luna voted for Jim after knowing she was doomed.
Many people had Orwell pegged as an edgic contender by Episode 1; that might be a little too obvious for this series.
Orwell was effectively saved by Sasha, which had the potential to take away from his winner's story.
Eliminated:
Tapioca: It's established fact that no one respects her game, and even if she explains on day 39 that she was hamming it up the whole time to get people to underestimate her (which is exactly the personality I'd love for her to show at FTC if she makes it that far), no one will believe her because she's cried wolf for too long. We wouldn't have learned about her conniving side if it didn't come into play, so it's either FTC or when she says something stupid trying to make deals with the two other guys.

The only two people who have won that weren't featured in the previews were....
7: Ker
12: Lola
SWSU needs more winners who weren't featured. Other than that I love the fact Jim won.

Thank you for commenting! I'll probably do a comprehensive ranking after the season is over, but off the top of my head:
Jim
Sasha
Damon
Orwell
Frost
G'rilara
Tapioca is the only character I would consider "least favorite", everyone else who's divisive (Iyzebel, Luna, Alleio) I have a mixed opinion on.

I'll be posting my rankings too...even though I've trumpeted my opinions pretty loudly throughout
