Kinda reminds me of the Mobius Redrawn episode "Amy's Costume Party" when Shadow starts hallucinating and thinks he has vampiric traits.

But I'm serious about this. His moster form is caused by a chemical imbalance between his/Black Doom's blood and Were Sonic's saliva. It warps Shadow's Alien DNA to make him a Vampyric monstrosity

Of course! Heres the catch: He doesn't drink blood, but the victims life force. His most powerful ability is the CHAOS DRAIN: He uses Chaos Control to paralyze his victim, bites them, and then drains out almost all of their life energy leaving them nearly dead!

Yes it would. My theory is that the black Arms aliens drink the blood of humans as their energy source, not as just a food supply. Shadow's Vampire form is caused by a genetic chemical imbalance in his blood caused by a bite from Were Sonic. This causes him to transform, at night, into the vampyric beast.
