Just a super quick ref for magic class so people know what outfits and things Bird will be wearing!!
these were fun to think up and design
I'll remove this once magic classes are over! Just wanted to get out a helpful resource!!

Shay: aha, I knew I recognized your face from somewhere! You're also attending to magic school this month!

Bird: Oh ah.. Yes! It's actually my first class! I'm kinda nervous but a couple friends are joining me! What about you?

Shay: Likewise, my first ever. I... did try out a few spell practices here and there... but they were... *clears throat* awkward. Though, not many of my friends were able to join... you should've seen the drama going on there.

Bird: I'm trying to learn earth magic on my own, so I have at least a little experience with magic.
*laughs* Oh I can imagine! I never realized sign ups would be so stressful!
So uhm... are you in fire or water?

Shay: Fire class. All my friends tried to get into water class... but I think they... *snrk* ended up on dry land.

Bird: Heh.. Yeah. My um.. My best friend Hoto knows intermediate fire magic! I've seen him do some pretty cool stuff, I think you'll have fun with it! A-at least I hope you will..!

Shay: Well... I'm actually interested in something else... Shock magic. I'm rather nervous for today. What class are you going to be on?

Bird: Oh well that would be interesting!
I'm in water! I'm excited, I've been wanting to learn water magic for a while now!

Shay chuckles. "Well, maybe we could help out each other sometime. Last class had some cross interactions too, and none of my friends got into water magic. How about it?" Shay holds out his paw with a smile on his face.

Bird took his hand and nodded, ears held down anxiously. "Sure..! Though I hope it's nothing like what the wind class went through." He joked.

"likewise. Last wind class was rather... Draughty." Shay says with a chuckle. "I heard too that the earth class to some came in like a rock."

Bird smiled and put a hand on his face, closing his eyes. He shook his head slowly and sighed. Though Bird couldn't help but laugh just a little bit. "Oh my Chii. Those... Were so bad. I am ashamed. I'm ashamed of you for making such terrible puns and I'm ashamed of me for actually laughing at them."

Shay laughs and prods Bird's shoulder. "you looked rather nervous, so I thought to cheer you up a bit. But when the classes start, it'll be all water under the bridge now, right?" he says as he nudges his eyebrows.

Bird gently shoved Shay, grinning. "You're terrible!" He joked.Β

Shay chuckles. "no, I'm on fire. Well... Not yet."

"Well if you don't manage to light yourself on fire you better believe I will." He said, crossing his arms.

"let me guess, you're going to burn me with water?" Shay laughs.

"You forget that my best friend knows intermediate fire magic. And he's extremely loyal." He said confidently, raising an eyebrow.Β

"but how do you wish to burn somebody that..." Shay says as he swoops his hair tuff to the side. "... Already Hot?"

Bird laughed. "Oh wow that was smooth." He said with a bit of sarcasm. "Being "hot" is objective. So while you might be hot to some wyngrew, you won't be to others." He said very matter-of-factly.

"you mean subjective. But I didn't mean it as a subjective trait." Shay says. "I mean it as a fact, I'll be hot." Shay says as he takes his Thaumonomicon (his magic learning book, Yay xD) and shows the 'Increase Body Temperature' spell.

Bird's face flushed and waved his hand at Shay. "Y-you know what I mean!" He said, trying to hide the anxious tone in his feminine voice. When he pulled out the book and showed him the spell, Bird nodded slowly. "Well just b-because something is hot doesn't mean it can't be lit on fire." He said, still trying to suppress his anxiety.

"W-well you've obviously given me a reason, what with all your terrible puns." He said. "It's a shame though, I don't have a fire steel and flint with me. How about you?"

Shay chuckles. "why would you want flint and steel? Don't you have your fire magic for that?"

Bird shook his head and pinned his ears back. "Oh no no I uhm.. I don't know fire magic. I only know a little earth magic."

"N-no. I'm learning independently. I'm actually still in the process of learning." He corrected.

Shay nods in aknowledgement. "So I guess soon you'll rock into this kind of magic, eh?"

"I hope so, though I don't know how well I'll do with water magic. I'm sure I'll have fun though, I get to spend more time with my friend and my um... other friend!" Bird said, face flushing as he paused. He would have liked to use the word crush to refer to Harlie, but he wouldn't dare, not to a wyngro he just met. "And now I know you!" He said.

"Oh! Yes, I suppose we should." He nodded. "It was very nice meeting you... ah... I don't actually think I got your name. I'm Bird."

"I'm Shay." Shay says with a grin on his face, before turning around, holding up his arm as he walks away.
