Really caught my eye, it looks very professional (except that bottle! )

Thank you! And yes the bottle keeps haunting me 😖

Hehe, it can be quite frustrating when you make this awesome traditional piece and the picture/scan comes out not capturing the awesomeness quite as well. I actually avoid looking at some of my drawings precisely for that reason

Yea. And i swear scanners are mosters. They never get the colour right 😖

Yeah, it's always a pain and a struggle. I once took a drawing to a "professional" scanning studio, paid 10eu (which is like 10 times the usual price) and not only were they reluctant to show me the result beforehand but it was a disaster with a horrible glare right at the focal point. I then got a much better scan at a regular photostudio.

Personally I have found my phone to take the best shots under sunlight. And if needed I tweak the brightness on my PC to make the actual colours match the physical copy.

That's certainly a nice option. If anything it gives you once more choice in case the scan doesn't work out. Btw have you seen this tut:   I immediately thought of it when you mentioned photographing. I don't know if it will apply to your stuff but I think it's a genius idea.

The bottle looks like part of the painting! It actually looks pretty good with the bottle in it. Would this be considered abstract?

Well it certainly is abstract. And yes the bottle does blend it quite well in retrospect 😉
