Description
This is a modular design that I came up with something like a dozen years ago. It consists of six squares folded with what amounts to four bird base crease patterns and then interleaved in such a way as to take on the shape of an intersecting cube and octahedron. It's also somewhat squishy - it can be compressed to form more pointy points and it will slowly spring back.Related content

It DOES look quite versatile and squishy, which I like, and nice choice of colours!

Of course! I actually sat down moments ago thinking about starting the diagrams... after all, in all of a dozen years, I had not made time for this between my seemingly endless array of other projects and life and shiny things!
