Description
It's a pain for me to see this living legend go.Excelsior means "upward and onward to greater glory." I only thought it was fitting to draw him looking upward and forward as he advances into Heaven, meeting old friends like Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko.
Rest in Peace, Stan Lee.

Allow me to explain; he first used the pseudonym "Stan Lee" when he was writing for the first time. When he became famous for writing and his "Stan's Soapbox" articles, he kept using that name until he legally got it changed.
So technically you're right. I just wanted to use his given name for my tribute.

It stings to know he's gone, but I tell you he was a living legend. Much with the Marvel-patened charisma and greatness which he spoke, he and a daring crew of artists, writers, and other story-tellers transformed the comics landscape, and went on to influence many aspects of our culture which is here to stay.
