Description
Once we start on the tall folk (elves, humans & wizards), it will be an extensive haul. Before that long wait we decided to release one more treat.. a Dwarf Scene Maker!

I have finally been able to do the other half of my Valar couple: [link] since ~AzaleasDolls posted the game to her site.
Specifically, Yavanna is a hobbit (because fandom has adopted her as the favourite Vala of the Hobbits) and AulΓ« is (of course) a dwarf.

I'm not sure if you've planned it yet, but in the final maker how will we switch between races? Will it be in the gender panel thingo or will it be like the dwarf option the Game of Thrones one or is it top-secret-if-I-tell-you-I'd-have-to-kill-you business?

I wonder if Human/dwarf hybrid women still would have beards or if they would inherit the female beardless gene from the human side of the family... I'm wondering this because the picture up above is kinda how I picture Human/dwarf hybrids to be.... not having that much of a beard and all.

Very interesting. I bet you could figure it out... You'd just have to look up the genetic basis for human women not having beards. Knowing how that biological pathway works out, one could deduce what nature of change the dwarves would have and whether it would be dominant when overlayed with human.

If it's just as simple as overstimulating hair growth, I'd guess it'd be a dominant or incompletely dominant, so the kids would be bearded or a little bearded like you were saying.

This kind of makes me giggle because, well, Tolkien's dwarf women look so much like the men that non-dwarfs can mistake them for each other. Not to mention they're warriors. And have beards. And comprise maybe a third of the dwarf population. And are very picky about their husbands.

They look like men because they dress like men whilst travelling outside of the mountain, which is when they would be seen by non-dwarves. We chose to focus on their every-day looks. A lot of the users on the site though have been having a lot of fun creating "everyday and travelling" outfits by using the female dwarf base for one, and the male for the other XD

It's pretty easy to download the games.
You just have to view the source code, then search (ctrl+f) for the file ending in ".swf"
In most browsers it will show up as a link.. so you just have to right-click on it and select "save link/target as".
It's even easier in Firefox.. You just right click on the page, select page properties and find the "swf" in the list of page media items.

Yes, but some of the games (e.g. Game of Thrones, Neptune's Daughter, probably the LOTR makers as the problem seems to affect those art-styled games, and Winx) will not load offline. I open the swf when I'm offline and the PLAY button just doesn't appear, nor can I click the place where it would be.

In that case, try right-clicking on teh game and pressing Forward ~

Thanks for the tip. It worked on three of the eight "builders" I have. The other five flashed through lots of colors for the character/background and then froze on the first screen. Even if the options on it worked, the navigation buttons didn't. The other three flashed through a lot of colors too, but I could actually navigate from screen to screen. (The ones that froze were the Dwarf Scene Maker, the Hobbit SM, the LotR/Hobbit SM, the Merpony maker, and Neptune's Daughter.)
Since I now have a way to play them offline anyway, albeit a way that takes up 500MB on my HD, all is good for now.

Click on a beard choice and then click that beard choice again. It removes the beard.
