Description
Also call: a tutorial that's not so helpfulwell, I just keep the process I have but it's not so detail about the techniques, I use techniques from pixiv gods so some of them is well known by every one (maybe..) and I don't have too much original techniques I created by myself.
(I just learn too much different techniques and change it overtime when I change the way and the style I draw...)
If you want the technique i was using in this picture, I may try to do some tutorial about that.
(even I didn't create that technique..I still able to share with you..)

Maybe... But I don't think. You can print FanBook if you credit the artist at the end.

This is a very nice piece and I love seeing a process mapped out However, is sketching, scanning & tracing really necessary? I usually bypass all of that and just draw free-handed with a tablet, changing things as I go if needed. It can shave off several hours.

I'm not always do sketching, scan and tracing unless that piece of work is very very important to me and I can't make even one mistake (such as a book cover, you need to have the best of the best, and that's why I trace the line on computer to make it more CG style. hand tracing is also nice and quick but not fit the style of this cover).
Most of the time I will draw freehand on Painter because a painting style is absolutely great on Painter and the feeling of creating and keep changing is also great if you have no idea about the final work (and sometimes you will be surprise about that XD).
Sometimes I use photoshop if I just want 1 or 3 hr freestyle quick work and it's easy to add final effects.
Well I don't keep one style or one technique too long as I learn new stuffs, so it just depend on the mood of that day and what I actually need.

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose :-P I can see how that would be helpful if design is more important than efficiency. I'm always in a rush because I work on so many things throughout the day, and I can never afford to spend more than 1, 2 or 3 blocked hours on any one thing
I'm the same, digital is so versatile
