Description
A ridiculously simple idea but hopefully an effective one…The water came from a photograph of mine of the River Severn and the picture of the model (Erica) was provided by megnut-stock ([link] ) – many thanks to her for such a good stock photograph, it suited my purpose perfectly. The original stock image can be found here ([link] ).
I’ve penned some words to go with this picture. Try not to judge my attempt at prose too harshly, the words just sort of happened...
In shallow waters my soul to keep
The fleeting sun disturbs my sleep
In the light-consuming night
Shallow waters
Soon turn deep
If you venture to the edge
You’ll see my cold nocturnal bed
In the light-consuming night
My heart is soothed
My soul is fed
When you ask how can it be
Remember how you treated me
In the light-consuming night
There are no tears
Now I am free

Hehe, not quite in the same league as Ophelia but a similar sentiment I guess. Thanks Jim, very pleased you like it.

Thanks! AND you liked the writing!
I very nearly didn't include the writing. This is the first time I've added any to a picture, so I was a little unsure of myself. Both the writing and the picture happened so quickly - so naturally and almost simultaneously - that it only seemed right to submit them both 'hand in hand'.
Your stock picture was a MAJOR contribution, thanks again.

I don't see how you got it to work ... amazing. I can't see any flaws ... anything that makes it unrealistic. Except maybe the fact that it is so realistic?

Thanks so much! This was one of those rare occasions when the whole thing just seemed 'right' and came together really quickly, very soon after first seeing the stock image. Thanks again for your encouragement.
