While in the past Itachi may have held hopes for a bright future, dire circumstances eventually forced him to turn away from the light.Seems like I am in some drawing-Itachi roll.
He was such an adorable child. This started out with just little!Itachi but then that didn't seem enough so I got the idea of sticking his older-bleeding-marred-older-version there. It really is such a contrast to his child self.

Poor Itachi... In the past he must have had a lot of dreams...
Most of them must have died along with Shisui... Or at least in the night of the massacre...
I think all that kept him going, was the wish to protect his brother and the fact, that he knew, that once he died, peace would be gone - so than the massacre would have been senseless.

Wow, that really does highlight the contrast beween the young Itachi and the older one.
He's such a cute, happy child, looking towards his dreams for the future like any other kid...
...But in that future, it would appear his dreams exist only in his past.
Poor guy.

It really is sad when I step back and consider the many what-ifs about him. He had so much potential ): I see him as being among the likes of "legendary" ninja personalities like the Sannin, and Minato if he had not left Konoha at 13. I am glad to know you liked it dear!
