Description
One of my absolutely favourite scenes from "Treasure Planet" is when Silver comforts Jim who feels responsible for Mr.Arrow`s dead. *sobs* I`ve got a weakness for sad things.Haven`t drawn Silver for a while but it was kinda fun!
Is it just me or is he really easier to draw than Jim (except all those cyborg parts ) ? : /

Aw this scene gets me right here. I wanted to comfort Jim when I saw this scene, but it was until later that I realized, he's not just upset because Arrow's died.
No,that was just the icing on the cake. He's upset about everything before hand, the way he was acting on Montressor towards his mom, the way things had been goingΒ at school, the record he has against him and last but not least his dad leave him and his mom. He felt likeΒ nothing he did was ever good enough and maybe that's the reason he left.Β
Arrow's death was theΒ breaking point and the dam busted.Β Poor kid. Β

O my ...gosh! How on EARTH did I miss this one?
*instantly faves it*
One of the most touching scenes in the film.
Especially Silver's speech to Jim.
You really did a nice job with both of their expressions.
I agree I think that Silver is easier to draw than Jim..aside from his advanced hardware

Silver is the doer, he gets Arrow drunk and shoves him overboard.

When I saw this pic, I thought it was one of those weird pairing ones... (Looking through all time popular pics can do that to ya.) But I saw Dolphy's icon and stuff and was like. Yesh...
Aside from odd and slightly perturbing info, Cool pic!

It's also my favorite scene from TP.
And the main reason why Silver probably is my top favorite Disney character. He has, y'know.. that special thing, or flame, that would make him totally unique and also deeply human in the movie. Since I watched it again with my sis' this week (I hadn't watched it in years), it officially became my favorite Disney classic, ever.
The story's amazing. And this character rocks big time.

Yes, I totally agree. I liked it that Silver was neither villain nor heroe, but something inbetween, that really made the whole thing interesting. And that scene was just too cute, I love it. ^^

Awww.. every time I see this picture, I'm listening to Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up". It definetely describes Jim and Silver's father/son relationship. for Jim and Silver

Yeah I agree with you there. "You raise me up" has to be one of my absolute favorite songs of all time.

This, to my opinion, is the most beautiful scene in Disney history. When I first saw it in theaters, I nearly cried in this scene, which I've never done for any other Disney movie before. (Okay, except for Beauty and the Beast and the The Lion King) But just the same, I love this picture.

That part nearly brought me to tears! It's one of my favorite scenes too, how Silver seems to have that father figure towards Jim.

Yay! You drew Silver! I need to draw him more. I think he's much harder to draw then Jim, but that's because I'm used to drawing young, skinny people all the time. You did a very good job on him!
