Description
With the release of the New Republic update for the Star Wars: Interegnum mod for Sins of a Solar Empire drawing near, I decided I would revisit the Nebula Star Destroyer. Same mesh and mostly the same materials but my original version did not use mirroring and I was hoping to squeeze out a little more texel density for the downscaled 2k texture set we'll be using in-game. There are also some UV changes for texturing reasons as well as a few tweaks here and there on the details. Overall I think there's subtle but worthwhile improvement.Related content

What is the most interesting thing about your reworked model, is the side-view, because it makes the ship look and feel larger, like it can really have a large-enough reactor to do the tasks it was build for.

It’s basically supposed to be a Corvus used for extraction, transport, and small escort. Or at least that’s I’m thinking.

Not really- the Nebula has a far, far smaller crew (7,000 vs 35,000) and carries only 1/5th of the troop compliment, plus 60 fighters instead of 72, less than half of the shuttle capacity and no combat vehicles. If you stripped away all of the excess bloat in the design of the ISD, you could easily get a much smaller ship with the same defenses and firepower, especially when you take into account the fact that you don't have to lug around enough food and other essentials to maintain a crew and troop compliment roughly the size of the population of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
