Description
I am not a Christian. I am a Communist. This is inspired by Christian Communism and the song
"Comrade Jesus Christ".
I chose blue as the main (okay, the only) colour because it
is heavily used by the Christian sect and I am trying to find
a ground where I can get them to look.
I apologize if this one offends any fellow Communists who
oppose the Christian religion. Again, I'm not a fan of it.
But if there's one interpretation of the Bible I can tolerate,
it's the Communist Interpretation.
What's wrong with a Jesus of Peace, Love and Understanding? Nothing.
What do you think, comrades?

Well, Christianity was oftentimes a leftist religion up to the point of the abortion debate, including Catholics who were more likely to vote for left wing parties than Protestants up to that point, at least in America.
Hence, NOFX used a picture of Jesus with a beer bottle as their album cover for their EP Never Trust a Hippy. [link]

You know, although I'm not a big fan of organized religion (clearly... I'm a socialist), I can really get behind this sentiment. If you read the Bible or the Qur'an, you know that Jesus (or Isa, just a language difference) was someone who cared for the poor and marginalized when nobody else would, who would share things with others even when he had next to nothing, and the crime that he was executed for basically amounted refuting the divine right of kings. I think this quote by Gandhi sums it up: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians, but I like your Christ."

I think you should put this in a few leftist groups to help get a bigger Christian following in leftist movements.

Christianity actually helped lead me to this ideology. I'm baffled by the idea of Conservative Christians. one conservative complaint in america is taxes, and how the rich shouldn't pay any more. first those who are rich should be worried about their soul if their Christian because "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." (Mark 10:25). also "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's" (Luke 20:25) this particular quote was actually referring to taxes specifically. Jesus on several occasions practically said to spread the wealth "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven." (Mathew 19:21). Jesus' socialistic and communistic teachings are becoming more and more known. " if this is going to be a Christian nation that doesnβt help the poor, either weβve got to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or weβve got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition, and then admit that we just donβt want to do it." β Stephen Colbert, on the Colbert Report 12/16/10
Irish catholicism is also something I identify with more than the church in Vatican City. in the early days at least (not sure about modern times) of Irish Christianity the church was very communal based. The rest of the church called it the Irish church, partly because it followed the bible and Jesus' teachings rather than following the corrupt central church (still corrupt) controlled by Rome.
