Timun Mas (means golden cucumber)is a tale from Java about a girl born from a cucumber
it's an attempt to use watercolor XD and also a WIP for the college final project
drawing style was inpired a lot by he's too amazing, don't compare mine to his im still an amateur...
i was always afraid to try to use watercolor, since it usually failed T_T but im glad it turned the way it is now
thanks to the awesome transparent water color!! XD XDim amazed that it took much LESS time from digital drawing!

Wah aku juga pernah pake pentel 15 color itu >_< aduh susah banget ngatur warnanya, jelek2...
Aku pakenya Sakura 'transparent' watercolor, ada 18 warna, harganya 80rb klo di Bandung...Itu sumpah enaaaak banget makenya XD pigmennya bagus, klo udah kering warnanya jadi kinclong *_*
Tapi emang agak susah nyarinya klo disini...

Well, you have to start somewhere don't you? I am sure it won't be long before you become an expert in watercolor.
JUST for the record, I had to try it also once (I mean watercolor). It was for school. An unpleasant experience: for me- I messed up everything. For my teacher- she didn't like to see messed up work. For my poor mum- she had to clean up the mess and did so without complaining...

me tooo, my first watercolor is also a mess! it's cool that most my friend did a mess too, so the teacher didn't complaint XD

it's been a long time since i use watercolor, and i was never any good, but this new watercolor i tried was super! i can mix the color pretty well unlike any previous watercolor i tried before XD

Your illustration and the new one look quite well, i'd love to see more of your works with this medium. It happened to me too when I decided to buy professional markers, the difference between the truly cheap ones was impressive.

Oh. yes, I bought copic, the ciao brand to be exact, which is the cheapest I've found, I wanted to give it a try first and I'm very pleased with the results.

That's actually a very simple drawing style! I was thinking to draw chbis first since they seem easier than normal-sized people...
