"You ever think we chose the wrong profession, Vik?" Complained the trooper, as he adjusted the cooling cloth around his neck- now merely an odorous sweat rag.
"Oh everyday- but then I realize it's WAY better than your proposed idea of work, man." Responded Vik, who was sitting atop an ammo crate, helmet in lap and blaster leaning against his leg.
"And how do you figure?" Asked the clone, who was still watching his sector keenly.
"For the last time- opening an inter-galactic real estate firm doesn't make the most of our skills, Dek!" Groaned his unfortunate ally on shift, face-palming in frustration over a repetitive topic.
"Oh, I disagree- you see, we've been in such intolerable hell-holes that we'd be able to give the best living locations to our clients!" Dek was enthusiastic as per usual when he's given the speaking ball. Suddenly, amidst the back-and-forth another clone walks up.
"Having another business spat with Dekker, Vik?" Inquired the clone- who was a SPAR suit pilot stationed at their side of the base. He was taking a breather after updating and maintaining his machine that wasn't far from where their sandbag position was.
"Trav, help me culture this poor sod about a promising business endeavor!" pleaded Dek, who turned briefly to address the pilot.
He took off his pilot helmet and rested it against his left leg, running his available hand through the sweat soaked hair and blue sweat band.
"You two are a riot- and that's probably the reason why Lieutenant Tusk always throws you two on my end of the FOB." Chuckled the pilot, who also brought laughter out of the two bickering troopers.
"Just another day in paradise?" Asked Vik. Wherein which the remaining two looked at each other and back to the seated trooper responding happily in unison.
"Just another day in paradise."

Good stuff! It's been awhile since i actually drew my 77th boys in Light Combat Armor or LCA's. For those of you just joining us, LCAs are a self-explanatory concept of armor for my clone troopers. Vision the UNSC's troops with Starship Troopers armor and blend it with clone trooper armor. This piece was inspired by some of my experiences in the military pulling duty at Defensive Fighting Positions and other locations at a base. A lot of intellectual talks (and the opposite) tend to happen when there's a lot of time but in the most uncomfortable of situations. These lads here are stationed on a jungle like planet where it was encouraged to switch to this armor for base security/garrison troops, while the boys who go outside the wire don either full or LC depending on the mission and situation locally. This was also an opportunity to draw a SPAR suit pilot and part of a SPAR head/main camera. The utility uniform under the armor for Dekker and Vik are colored to match seldomly to the environment they work, so a mixture of olive drab, gray, etc. But this is all I'll jot down for now- so please enjoy and inquire!
