Description Coming at you again with a unit concept! These lads are part of the 77th's Combat Sustainment Battalion, specifically the Security Forces. My co-author and I have dabbled on what a lot of the Clone Wars never mentioned in the lore (Because we all know that the saber jockeys are the spotlight), because when you think about how engagements in the wars went, you're just left to assume what happens- say Geonosis. During the invasion in EpII, you see there was a staging area for the battle- well any logical field commander would establish it as a base and continue to fortify it as the battle and campaign went about. Rather than just assume every clone can do everything (well yes, considering their specific flash training), there will be particular focus on a specific objective and mission. ARCs will perform aggressive reconnaissance, Pilots will pilot vehicles, engineers will construct and maintain, infantry will ground pound, and security forces will defend FOBs (Forward Operating Base), airfields, and act as law enforcement for the AOR (Area of Responsibility), and so on.

As stated before, these troops are adorned with the 77th's red-orange trim and other identifying markers to designate their role. The stripes/chevrons are a reference to the Fifth Fleet Security concept clones from EpIII, and each troop will have a communications/recording device affixed to their helmet for records keeping in arrests, engagements, and other activity. As a reference to modern security forces and military police, the clones will wear a "brassard" in the form of the Senate Commando shoulder pad- as I was assuming that was Filoni's aim as well. The shoulder pad will bear the GAR cog, "SF" in aurebesh, and in between the two will be a space for the specific planet/region. The visor color is user dependent, but standard will be the light blue hue to reflect field/sky conditions. NCO units will don a helmet visor with a pauldron, while Officers will feature all plus a kama or other additional adornments. Additionally, these troops wear backpacks (trademark now in the 77th) that contain an emergency medical kit, handcuffs, ammunition, and a datapad. Shown being wielded by the trooper is an experimental squad automatic weapon, containing the tibanna in a large canister magazine with rail system. DC-15A blaster rifles may have variable firing modes, but this weapon will be a dedicated system and have less length so as not to affect mobility.

I'm looking forward to their appearance in the book series, and hope you all share my sentiments!

Stay frosty my friends.

as always, very promising trooper concepts! I can't wait to see this unit at work. I like how you make it military role accurate. everyone does their job, not just everything monotonously.

You just need to make cameo appearances in my comment sections, huh? And thank you! My co-author and I harped on that extensively, especially with our military backgrounds. It's all to do clones and the GAR Justice!

oh yeah I'm notorious for that, ask any number of clone artists lol.

you have a military background? are you a veteran?

and yes, doing the GAR justice is a much needed concept in SW today.

Looking through my pieces and comments, I can't believe I missed a question of yours! Yes, I am indeed a veteran. Particularly a Civil/Combat Engineer- funny how I've yet to post the art for the 77th's Clone Combat Engineers XD thanks for inquiring!
