Description
Another oldie, but damn do I wish I could recapture the style in which I did the helmets! This was created during the conception of the first chapter of the book, where Hawke (as seen in the forefront) is among the first waves to hit Geonosis- whilst Tal is left at Kamino to finish the final blocks of his ARC training. Why does he have twin blaster pistols here? Well, your boy Tal was able to acquisition some equipment from the armories of Tipoca and bestow upon his brother a parting gift. Around this time, the clones were initially outfitted with standard gear- as in just a blaster in hand, rather than a nice kit like the Commandos got. And the jetpack? Also picked up from downed jet troopers (or clone sergeants on the field if you know of the old game I'm talking about ;J). At this point in the story, Hawke's ship has entered into the atmosphere and has encountered heavy anti-air from the Geonosians- peppering his Acclamator to the brink of complete system failure. So with whatever reserve power left, they hard-wired coordinates for the ship to ram a retreating Trade Federation sphere, all while he gives the orders to abandon ship via Gunships, escape pods, and starfighters. There were of course casualties amidst the chaos aboard the ship, but a large majority of his force was able to escape, with him personally onboard a gunship. At THIS this point, his gunship had crashed with some troop casualties, BUT the pilots were alive (cannot tell you how much I hate it when they kill off the pilots so easily in TV series') and made into make-shift Combat-Controllers with their enhanced communications built into their helmets. So with over a dozen troopers and his Lieutenant, Hawke legs it towards their objective of clearing a path past a droid factory and spire- a good distance from where they landed. In the background you can see their ship's slow approach with raised forward shields. The commando is of course a member of Zeta Squad (as they do rendezvous before making it to the objective. But that's already a chapter focused on them!), whose armor isn't all painted up like Delta Squad, since it clearly doesn't make sense that their armor would be customized at this point (beyond the RC game having just pre-painted the models even when they were still just training on Kamino). This is the beginning of the creation of the 77th EU, led by Hawke, supported by his Lieutenant- Tusk, and Zeta squad.

Damn, this looks dope! The AotC phase 1 trooper designs looks fantastic here! Also I see you referencing the OG SWBF1 there, it's not that old. It's the first of the only two good battlefront games in the franchise. The other one would be SWBF2. I call the EA ones shattlefront and shattlefront poo cuz they're crap. Also I like how you kept the pilot around! Ever since the Fordo ARC in the 2003 CW with the one pilot crashing, they're like "oh, well I guess that sets precedent for all pilots in TCW!" NO! In the lore do you know how many fail safes those crates had to protect the clones, just because of how much they cost?! You'd think they'd fix it if every pilot bites the dust with ease! No, "oh he's injured" or "oh, he's unconscious sir!" Just "pilot's are dead sir, let's leave their bodies here without actually opening up the cockpit and checking to see if they're just unconscious!" I would have loved to see Rex or somebody hand like Oddball or Goji a pistol and let them fight on the ground! How cool would that have been?!

Oh very much so! I still have BFII on PC because of the awesome modding community. "Shattlefront"- My buddy and I approve of this title...! And thank you, my sentiments exactly! I mean it's not WWI with biplanes, here. Yes, that would be BA!
Everyone fights, no one quits!
