yeah.. in my attempt to create characters that aren't just white 
well... i try to make up some kind of little backstory in my mind for original characters... so.. the older sister was in the army and is trained and talented... the younger sister holds all the ammo and is looked over by her elder

They're really cool. It kind of makes me wish they weren't just minor characters. I love the feel in your pictures. It reminds me a bit of firefly. But I've never seen the movie. Only heard of it.
