More iRay testing. It sure is fast. This 3600x3600 took about 12 minutes on an Nvidia GTX780. Another successful test with DAZ 4.8...WOOT! Success being defined as me not getting a headache and walking away, that is. I think the skin looks pretty darn good too. Much better than the first tests I did were it looked flat and plastic. Still not quite there in terms of the realism I've seen in other render engines. The fact that it is still in beta and has improved so much already leaves me very hopeful. This test had a direction though. I watched "Getting Go" last night. It was a nice love story, but the cinematography almost made me sick like when I play a first person shooter. While we're talking about the movie, can I just say that the Doc character is out of his mind for leaving Go. You want to go live in the country? Take his cute ass with you...he did offer to hop on the plane after all. Gees! 'Doc' and 'Go' were their names...LOL...only in the movies. Ok...anyhoo...After the movie, per my SOP, I looked up the actors. One of the leads was Matthew Camp. There were pics of him online, and one of them inspired me. I'm not sure he's capable of taking a bad photo (the lucky bastard), but there was one pic that was special because he looked a bit lost and vulnerable. This is closer to how he looks in more recent pictures as far as his physique goes compared to how he looked in that photo, but the pose is right. I'm pretty darn pleased with how it turned out. Hope you like it too.
